Hacked, yes my Instagram @a.joyful.life was hacked. Last Monday, a normal Monday night I checked my email to find that I had a email from my hackers telling me that I had three hours to contact them or my account would be deleted or sold. Instead of contacting them I got back into my account to find they had already changed my name and my contact email; so I changed them back and changed my password and turned on the two factor authentication. We went back and forth for awhile; they would change things and I would change them back until I got logged out. When I attempted to log back in it said my account was set to be deleted, then I searched for it and could not find it.

And Just like that- my profile, my feed, all the pictures, all the connections and 23K followers gone. Needless to say I was in shock (still kind of am). I threw myself a pity party for all of about 2 minutes then I got up and started over. My new account is @thejoyfullifeof6.

Thankful I have my wonderful family and wonderful friends. Hopefully I will be able to find and connect with all the amazing people that I had connected with in my other account.

“Everything that is done in the world is done by hope”
-Martin Luther King

We arrived at a small town down a long winding road, surrounded by mountains and divided from the rest of the world by a river that you can only cross one vehicle at a time over a small, rickety bridge. This town is correctly named protección,  this means protection in English.

ah… the word devotion, such a heavy, weighty word. This word has many different meanings to many different people, Devotion has many faces, there is the mother devoted to her child, the priest devoted to his church, the drug addict devoted to his addiction- different faces with one thing in common, they give of themselves freely and adamantly to the focus of their devotion.
